Michael Sokolov "Petrovich" and The Hot Rod band (blues, mouth harmonica, vocal) (Russia)

Mouth harmonica, in the past was a faithful companion of cowboys and seasonal workers, and nowadays a solid musical instrument, to which is used in different musical styles: blues, country music, rock-and-rolll, jazz, and classical repertoire accompanied by a symphonic orchestra. Michael Sokolov "Petrovich" – the masterly performer on a mouth harmonica – the leader of his own group "Petrovitch harmonica-man and The Hot Rod band", and the nickname "the Legend of the Russian Rock" has glued to Petrovichu for a long time already. For 25 years Petrovich was a drummer in numerous blues and rock bands, and then, during the study course of harmonica he hfelt in love with this instrument. Hot Rod Band – a quintet, exclusive on the sounding, was founded in September 2004, and at once took one of leading places on the Russian blues scene. This collective is a constant participant of many Russian and international blues festivals. Since 2005 Michael Petrovich and Hot Rod Band is the participant of the most sensational performances of Vahtangov theatre. This group gives concerts in the most prestigious clubs of Moscow, and also actively touring around the country. Each concert of Hot Rod Band is a colourful show filled with evergreen blues hits and highly professional musicains' skills.
